confidence that recruitment of 46 young and qualified new officers in
LDA will help in evolving a soft image of this institution besides
bringing about a healthy and positive change in its overall environment.
Addressing the newly employed assistant directors, who joined the Lahore
Development Authority, here, Monday, he urged them for adopting a public
friendly attitude with the people and treating them as clients instead
of complainant A plaintiff; a person who commences a civil lawsuit against another, known as the defendant, in order to remedy an alleged wrong. An individual who files a written accusation with the police charging a suspect with the commission of a crime and providing facts to support the allegation for transforming LDA into a dynamic public service
organization. These officers, including 14 women, have been selected
purely on merit, through a rigorous procedure involving a competitive
examination conducted by the National Testing Service as well as the
interview. The newly inducted officers include, sixteen assistant
directors recruited in the general cadre, another sixteen in the Town
Planning Wing, nine in the Accounts Directorate and five in the law
directorate of LDA. The DG expressed the hope that inclusion of fresh
blood in LDA, in the form of these new officers, will improve the
overall performance of this institution by introducing new ideas for
ensuring quick redressal of public grievances.
