45 luxury condominiums to be built at 150 Nassau. (Design and Development).

Renovation has begun at 150 Nassau at City Hall Park, a spectacular landmarked building with benchmark views overlooking the recently renovated City Hall Park, to transform the striking building into a luxury condominium in one of Manhattan's most exciting and newest neighborhoods. The 23-story residence will feature 45 luxury homes starting at the 10th floor, each with a spectacular view of the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines, three bridges, the East River, Midtown and Lower Manhattan.

Along with a faithful restoration of the building's famous barrel vaulted roof, a dramatic addition to the top will create Manhattan's most spectacular multilevel penthouse. The 9,635-SF penthouse, including more than 2,600 SF of outdoor space, will be one of the city's most extraordinary residences, featuring panoramic vistas that are among the most dramatic in the city.

Constructed in 1896, 150 Nassau was designed by noted architect R.H. Robertson in classic Beaux-Arts style. The building, an architectural masterpiece distinguished by its oversized Romanesque arches resting on Corinthian columns, became a prominent addition to the New York skyline. Of particular note in the renovation by architects Karl Fischer Architecte and Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer is the reinstallation of the large gas-lit globes adorning each corner of the roof, a design feature that was part of the original structure and years ago defined the downtown skyline. 150 Nassau at City Hall Park also represents the first downtown residence for noted architect Hugh Hardy, who has led the restoration of some of New York's most treasured landmarks including Radio City Music Hall, The Plaza Hotel, and the New York Stock Exchange.

The interiors and public spaces are designed by Shamir Shah Design, one of New York's top designers, and the result is the residences will showcase some of the finest amenities available. The professional-grade kitchens make use of the latest and most technologically advanced appliances, all finished in stainless steel. A 36-inch Viking gas range, Sub-Zero refrigerator, and Miele dishwasher are fully integrated into the walnut cabinetry by Boffi. Each home also features a kitchen island made of honed Calacatta marble.
