In 1998 the average income for all first-year B-to-B E-commerce websites actually seeking revenue was just under $94,000. Those B-to-B programs seeking revenues in their third year or better of E-commerce took in nearly $30 million dollars on average. Note that both the first- and third-year E-commerce sites' average revenue figures include the 30% of the programs intending to, but had not as of yet earned any revenues.

VP of Information Services See Information Systems.  Chris Anne Wheeler adds, "The b-to-b Web sector continues to demonstrate that online E-Commerce is a viable sales transaction vehicle. As you can see based upon this study's results, experience plays a big role in how successful their E-Commerce program becomes. In time, we expect that E-Commerce between businesses will far surpass that of consumer-oriented sites."
