40,000 s/f in leases inked at 1384 B'way.


Mark Salmon and Donna Zavattieri of Helmsley-Spear, Inc. have inked eight leases totaling 40,163 s/ f at 1384 Broadway Broadway, famous thoroughfare in New York City. It extends from Bowling Green near the foot of Manhattan island N to 262d St. in the Bronx. Throughout its length Broadway is chiefly a commercial street. . Asking prices for all transactions were in the upper-$30s per-square-foot range.

"We are very pleased with the amount of leasing activity here at the building. In this current class of new tenants we are seeing a continuation of a trend of diversity," said Zavattieri. "A cleaning contractor and an insurance company join a variety of tenants in what was once an all-apparel building."

Salmon and Zavattieri represented Helmsley-Spear, Inc., the landlord, in all 1384 Broadway transactions listed:

Palitex, Inc., which specializes in the importing of fabric and women's apparel, signed a seven-year lease for 5,185 s/f;
