Mark Salmon and Donna Zavattieri of Helmsley-Spear, Inc. have inked eight leases totaling 40,163 s/ f at 1384 Broadway. Asking prices for all transactions were in the upper-$30s per-square-foot range.

"We are very pleased with the amount of leasing activity here at the building. In this current class of new tenants we are seeing a continuation of a trend of diversity," said Zavattieri. "A cleaning contractor and an insurance company join a variety of tenants in what was once an all-apparel building."

Salmon and Zavattieri represented Helmsley-Spear, Inc., the landlord, in all 1384 Broadway transactions listed:

Cleaning Service Industries, Inc., a major cleaning contractor in the greater New York area, signed a five-year lease for 1,965 s/f for its executive and general sales office;

Jeffery Craig, Ltd., which specializes in the production of women's sportswear, signed a seven-year lease for 7,904 s/f. Alan Sinovsky and Marc Schoen of the Hunter Realty Organization, LLC represented the tenant;

Gilyard Manufacturing, Inc, a new urban-wear company expected to debut in stores next spring, signed a seven-year lease for 6,841 s/f for its executive offices and showroom. David Menaged of Adams & Co., represented the tenant;

MIG Apparel Group, Inc. signed a five-year lease for 1,281 s/f for its showroom and sales office;

Miss Sportswear, Inc., an apparel company for women and children with retail stores nationwide, signed a seven-year lease for 4,587 s/f. David Menaged of Adams & Co. represented the tenant;

Nash International, Inc., an apparel company for men and women, signed a five-year lease for 4,900 s/f for its showroom and executive offices. Alan Sinovsky and Marc Schoen of the Hunter Realty Organization, LLC represented the tenant;

Palitex, Inc., which specializes in the importing of fabric and women's apparel, signed a seven-year lease for 5,185 s/f;

RLI Insurance, one of the premier specialty insurance companies in the United States, with offices nationwide, signed a seven-year lease for 7,500 s/f for its New York division executive offices. Jonathan Schindler and Aron Schreier of Colliers ABR represented the client;

Built in the pre-war era, 1384 Broadway is located in the center of New York City's Fashion District.

The 25-story, 217,321-square-foot building features 24-hour security and on-site management. Tenants include Glorius Sun, Woods & Gray and Weilwood Industries, Inc.
