4.3 QUAKE RATTLES VALLEY.

A magnitude 4.3 earthquake with an epicenter two miles northeast of San Fernando San Fernando, city, Argentina

 at the U.S. Geological Survey in Pasadena, said that reports indicate the quake was felt throughout the Los Angeles area, from downtown to Santa Monica and as far north as Newhall and Saugus.

The quake was an independent earthquake, and not an aftershock of a different temblor, she said.

While the quakes jolted many, others in the Valley said they had no idea one had struck.

``We have been pretty busy over here, so I didn't even feel it,'' said Yvonne Geldman, who was working at Vons grocery store in Pacoima. ``The only way I found out was when my sister called and asked if we were OK.''
