PLUS Vision Corporation has launched its new U5 series, a line of compact DLP (Digital Light Processing) A data projection technology from TI that produces clear, readable images on screens in lit rooms. DLP is used in all types of projection devices, from data projectors that weigh only a few pounds to large rear-projection TVs to electronic  projectors in the 4-pound class. The two models offered are the U5-111 ($1,295) with a short-lens focus and the U5-112 ($1,595) with a 1:1.2 manual zoom lens--both of which feature 1,600 Lumen lumen: see photometry.
