A 4-year-old boy who fell from a second-story window of his home was in stable condition Wednesday at Columbia Los Robles Robles is a common surname in the Spanish language meaning oaks, and may refer to:

The child was jumping on his bed at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday when he accidentally fell out an open window of his home in the 700 block of Clear Haven Drive, said Kris Carraway, hospital spokeswoman.

The mother was in the bathroom when she heard one of her children screaming, authorities said.

The boy was rushed by ambulance to the hospital and arrived alert, Carraway said. He was treated for cuts on his lip, chin and forehead forehead /fore·head/ (-hed) frons; the part of the face above the eyes.

Though the window had a screen, it wasn't strong enough to prevent the boy's fall, Yerby said.

Because screens are not capable of withstanding an excessive amount of weight, children should be discouraged from playing around windows, Yerby added.
