4-H golf tourney is a success.


HOLDEN - The sunshine and blue skies were a welcome relief from this summer's typically rainy weather July 14 for the start of the Massachusetts 4-H Foundation's seveth annual charity golf tournament at Holden Hills Country Club. The club is owned by 4-H alumnus ALUMNUS, civil law. A child which one has nursed; a foster child. Dig. 40, 2, 14.  Roger Kane Jr., son of Shirley Kane of Hudson, honorary trustee and the organizer of the tournament.

Proceeds from the event go to 4-H programs across the commonwealth.

Presenting sponsors were Avidia Bank and The Entwistle Co. of Hudson. Heart sponsors were A.D. Makepeace Co., Cavicchio Greenhouses, Cloverland Properties LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

The first-place men's team was Craig Viola, Bill Magee of South Dartmouth, Jeff Magee of Framingham and Diarmaid O'Donoghue of South Dartmouth.

The second-place men's team was Jim Hart, Andrew Copelotti, Jim DeSilva and Scott Tuxbury. Mr. Walker led the third-place men's team, with players John Williams, Norm Ellis, and Jim Maling.

The first-place women's team was Tracy Wesinger of Hudson, Mary Lou Woodford and Jen Cunningham. Jim and Kim Gregg of Stow, Paul Moroney and Chris Katralis made up the first-place mixed team.
