4-H Rocketry winners.
Astronaut Buzz Aldrin who made the historic moon landing with Neil
Armstrong gathers with 4-Hers who competed in the Team America Rocketry
Challenge (TARC) held recently in The Plains, VA.
4-H had four of the 100 teams entered and finished exceptionally
well. The teams were from Farmington, MN; Cottage Grove, MN; Slinger,
WI; and Germantown, MD.
They were charged with the mission to design and build a model
rocket carrying an egg that would fly to exactly 850 ft, stay aloft for
exactly 45 seconds and return to the ground with the egg intact.
