4 HISTORIC HOMES TO BE FEATURED.

Four homes of historic and architectural interest will be featured this weekend during the third annual Ojai Holiday Home Look In, decorated by Ventura County floral designers and the Ojai Valley Garden Club.

The tour includes a 1913 home designed by craftsman architects Greene and Greene Greene and Greene, architectural firm working in the American arts and crafts style, formed by the brothers

Charles Sumner Greene, 1868–1957, and

Henry Mather Greene, 1870–1954, both b. Brighton (now part of Cincinnati), Ohio.
 as a winter home for businessman William Mead mead (mēd), wine made of fermented honey and water, sometimes flavored with spices. It is highly intoxicating. Mead was known in classical Greece and Rome and was the favorite drink of the tribes of N and W Europe.  Ladd of Portland, Ore. The home, which reflects the owner's love of the outdoors, also was featured on last year's tour.

Another centerpiece will be a Spanish colonial revival home built in 1922, which is situated in an oak-studded landscape. The house contains the original handcrafted hand·craft

The third home, Villa de la Roche La Roche may refer to:

, was designed to replicate a hillside villa overlooking the Mediterranean at St. Jean Cap-Ferrat, France. Visitors will be treated to the scenic view from this house as well as from the last house on the tour, Hacienda hacienda
 also called estancia (Argentina and Uruguay) or fazenda (Brazil)

In Latin America, a large landed estate. The hacienda originated in the colonial period and survived into the 20th century.

That house was designed by Ojai architect Marc Whitman and is a combination of mission and Southwestern architecture.

The Ojai Holiday Home Look In will run 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It is sponsored by the Ojai Festival Women's Committee, and proceeds will benefit the 54th Annual Ojai Musical Festival in June. Tickets are $25 and are available at the Ojai Chamber of Commerce, 150 W. Ojai Ave., Ojai, or by calling (805) 646-2053.
