3rd Annual `Year in Review' Hosted by IABC.


SAN ANTONIO San Antonio (săn ăntō`nēō, əntōn`), city (1990 pop. 935,933), seat of Bexar co., S central Tex., at the source of the San Antonio River; inc. 1837.  -- Professionals attending the International Association of Business Communicators' December luncheon will learn from local reporters as they discuss their experiences, challenges and accomplishments as communicators during 2004. Attendees will have a chance to ask panel members any burning questions and will take away tips for achieving the good and avoiding the ugly in 2005.

"IABC's Year in Review" panel discussion will include representatives from television, print and news radio, who will share the best and worst public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most , marketing, and advertising efforts of 2004.  annual event has become a holiday favorite amongst communicators, marketers and business professionals across the board.

With varied backgrounds and fields of expertise, this year's panel participants will bring a myriad of experiences to the discussion. The panel includes Brent Boller from the Morning Edge with Trey Ware on 550 KTSA; Edmund Tijerina and Melissa Monroe of the Express-News; and Sylvia Rincon of KABB KABB Kristent Arbeid Blant Blinde (Norwegian: Christian Work Among the Blind) .

Last year, Michele Krier of the San Antonio Business Journal reported that "PR folks (free-lancers and agency types, bring your bosses!) should NOT miss IABC's 2004 Year In Review when it comes up in December '04. Things were heating up (some folks under their very own collars) at the "2003: The Crazy Year that Was...," which took place (at the Dec. 2003) meeting at Paesano's. IABC's second annual "Year in Review" discussion lived up to its promise as "a wildly popular event" featuring media personalities from several San Antonio news outlets."

"IABC's Year in Review" will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the Plaza Club, Frost Bank Tower The Frost Bank Tower is a skyscraper in Austin, the state capital of Texas in the United States. Standing 515 feet (157 meters) tall and containing 33 floors, it is the tallest building in Austin. , 100 W. Houston St., 21st Floor. Parking is $1.50 in the Frost Parking Garage.

The cost for this limited seating luncheon is $20 for IABC members, $25 for nonmembers, and $5 surcharge An overcharge or additional cost.
