THE CREDIT crunch Credit Crunch

An economic condition whereby investment capital is difficult to obtain. Banks and investors become weary of lending funds to corporations thereby driving up the price of debt products for borrowers. may finally have hit Chelsea - where 15 scouts have been sacked and a raft of redevelopments cancelled - but the club's wealthy Pitch Owners have yet to feel the pinch.

They staged their annual bash at London's Hilton Park Hilton Park has a number of different meanings:

Sadly for popular Peter, this was met with huge cheers and applause.
