3am: Sam thing's upset Linds; EXPLOSIVE NIGHT WITH LILO & CO.

GUESTS oohed and aahed at the world's largest fireworks display in Dubai... and then Lindsay Lohan exploded.

Not literally, thankfully. But she was on one hell of a short fuse for most of the night at the launch of the ultra-exclusive Atlantis resort.

We were convinced Linds and girlfriend Sam Ronson had put their public spat in London on Tuesday night behind them.

After all, they arrived flashing huge smiles.

But after an incredible outdoor display of pyrotechnics, LiLo set off a few bangers of her own.

Sam had been hired to DJ at the afterparty and had even brought her mum along for the pounds 20million bash. But Linds - mingling with the likes of Robert De Niro, Janet Jackson and Sir Richard Branson - ignored pleas for her to join her beau on stage.

So then, blatantly ignoring the extremely conservative nature of the Muslim country, Sam decided to perform an erotic dance for LiLo, stroking her body all over. It had all the sex appeal of a dead halibut but it seemed to work for LiLo, who then jumped on stage for a quick canoodle.

The love didn't last long though - and LiLo later stormed off in tears because Sam seemed to be ignoring her in favour of mixing records for the 2,000 guests.

The actress collapsed in a heap before storming angrily back to the booth at the end.

"How many more songs were you going to play?" she screamed. "How long does it take to pack? It takes five minutes. PACK!"

Designer Matthew Williamson then stepped in and said: "Now Sam, you speak first, then Lindsay it's your turn." Peace finally descended when he asked the pair to open a store in New York. Should be a laugh. US reports today claim the couple are having counselling. Good idea.

It was an eventful night for Sam, who saw brother Mark Ronson's ex Daisy Lowe parading her new man Will Cameron.

A source said: "It was a bit awkward."

More like a bit of light relief...
