3am: SARAH READY 4 STEVE; Girls Aloud singer to date T4 host.

YOU'D have thought Sarah Harding would have had it with womanisers - so why has the Girls Aloud singer lined up a hot date with serial celebrity ladies' man Steve Jones?

T4's legendary lothario Steve has never made a secret of having a crush on the 23-year-old blonde. But it seems he was waiting for Sarah's, er, complicated lovelife to settle down before making his move.

In the past year she has had on-off romances with ladies' man Calum Best and Phixx star Mikey Green, both of which now appear to be "off".

So when Girls Aloud recorded a performance for T4 last weekend, the 29-year-old Welsh hunk seized his chance.

Onlookers say the pair flirted outrageously and ended up swapping numbers. They are planning on going out on a date this week.

Our insider reveals: "There's always been a bit of a spark between Sarah and Steve when they meet each other. But their timing has never been right.

"Sarah's been involved with both Mikey and Calum for a while now but she's single at the moment.

"So when Girls Aloud filmed for T4 she didn't exactly fight Steve off. There was Olympic-level flirting going on between them. It was hilarious to watch.

"He then asked her for her mobile number in front of loads of people. He didn't seem to care at all.

"She then got his number off him, too. They have already arranged to meet up this week. They'd be a great couple." Hmm, we're not so sure about that. Steve, who has a reputation as a lady-killer, has already worked his charm on previous guests, including Bond babe Halle Berry, Pamela Anderson and Charmed's Rose McGowan.

More recently he had an on-off romance with ex-Emmerdale actress Amy Nuttall.

It can't have escaped Sarah's notice that he isn't exactly the settling-down type. And, given her recent shenanigans, she could do with some stability in her lovelife.

Just three weeks ago she had a big bust-up with Mikey after her ex Calum showed up at the same party. Weirdly, Mikey was not best impressed when he saw the Celebrity Love Island star holding Sarah's hand and whispering in her ear.

She split up from Mikey and at the end of July was back in Calum's arms. But he was seen kissing a girl in Chinawhite last week - while Sarah was on a girlie break in Majorca.

Still, maybe things will work out with Steve - so long as Sarah tells him that flirting with other Girls is not Aloud...
