JUST weeks after Amy Nuttall, Emmerdale's man-eating Chloe, split up with her co-star Ben Freeman, it seems the flame-haired babe may have found solace in the arms of Scots crooner Darius.

The pair were pictured enjoying a smooch outside Geri Halliwell's private party on Sunday at the Wellington club.

But the bad news for Amy, 24, is she wasn't the Pop Idol reject's first choice. Club spies tell us Darius, 24, first made a beeline for hostess Geri.

We're told: "Geri chatted to Darius for ages. Then Darius mistook her offer of friendship and tried to get a full-on snog. But Geri wasn't interested."

So the plucky red-blooded male =just moved on and puckered up to plant a huge smacker on Amy's lips.

Still, after finding out her ex Ben had been cheating on her, perhaps dapper Darius is just the tonic she needs.
