Laboratories, a unit of Equifax Inc., has agreed to acquire an additional license to 3Net's PrismCare Laboratory Information System software.

The additional license will allow Osborn to significantly increase the volume of tests handled by its existing 3Net PrismCare System. In addition, 3Net and Osborn have entered into a letter of intent which provides for 3Net to complete a further series of additions to the PrismCare System. This new development work is expected to add a number of important new functional enhancements to the system.

3Net Chief Executive Officer, Russell J. Harrison, noted that the new Osborn license, "is the outgrowth of the continued importance of the PrismCare product at Osborn and a direct result of 3Net's strategy to move from product development to customer and market driven product enhancements." Harrison continued, "We believe the new enhancements will allow us to further demonstrate the ability of 3Net's enterprise client server technology to meet the market's need for flexible large scale laboratory information systems."
