, Minn. -- 3M announced today that Richard F. Ziegler, senior vice president, Legal Affairs and General Counsel, will retire at the end of the year.

During that time, he served with three chief executive officers, and I am especially grateful that he remained in place for the first year of my tenure," said George W. Buckley George W. Buckley is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive of 3M. He was named to these positions on December 7 2005.

Buckley came to 3M from Brunswick Corporation where he served as chairman and chief executive officer since June 2000.
