3Dsolve Delivers Prototype of New Data Visualization Tool to US Army TRADOC Futures Center; Co-Developed with Partner Lockheed Martin, Tool Points Way to Visualization of Complex Battlespace Architectures.

CARY, N.C. -- 3Dsolve Inc., The Simulation Learning Company, today announced that, working with Lockheed Martin For the former company, see .

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) is a leading multinational aerospace manufacturer and advanced technology company formed in 1995 by the merger of Lockheed Corporation with Martin Marietta.

), part of the US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC TRADOC Training & Doctrine Command (US Army) ) Futures Center at Fort Monroe Fort Monroe, SE Va., commanding the entrance to Chesapeake Bay and Hampton Roads; named for President James Monroe. The fortress (80 acres/32 hectares) was built (1819–34) by the U.S. government on the site of English fortifications erected in 1609 and 1727. , Virginia. The tool, Operational Views in 3D (OV3D), enables the rapid visualization of existing architectural data, such as communications networks in complex battlespace environments. Through rapid visualization, this architectural data can then be made comprehensible and useful to senior decision-makers.

For organizations such as AIMD that create, analyze, and present architectural data, visualizing is an ongoing challenge. Architectural data often tends to be in the form of databases that can be difficult to interpret without special training. This can make it challenging to convey the meaning and importance of such data to senior decision makers. The OV3D prototype developed by 3Dsolve and LMIT-PS addresses these challenges by accepting existing architectural data in an open standard format and instantly displaying it within a simulated 3D battlespace environment. In the past, this task would normally be done by human analysts, and could take days to perform.

"We selected 3Dsolve for this project based on our experience with their ability to rapidly deliver innovative 3D applications," said Wolf Kutter, Director, Lockheed Martin Information Technology-Professional Services. "3Dsolve once again exceeded our expectations by going from an initial customer kickoff meeting to presentation of the final deliverable in only three months. We look forward to working with the 3Dsolve team to identify new opportunities and applications for OV3D."

"We're proud to have been selected for yet another project by the team at Lockheed Martin Information Technology-Professional Services," said Richard Boyd, 3Dsolve CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
