(NASDAQ:CREAF), today announced that recently published data from two of the graphics industry's most respected analyst firms, IDC and Jon Peddie Research, acknowledge 3Dlabs as the leading provider of high-end 3D graphics accelerators. In addition, a recent in-depth review from ExtremeTech* demonstrates that 3Dlabs Wildcat(R) III accelerators produce the fastest benchmark and real-world application performance for design environments.

3Dlabs continues to provide the leading graphics hardware for computer aided design (CAD), digital content creation (DCC) and visualization. In the report entitled Jon Peddie Research Q102Market Watch*, 3Dlabs was reported to "hold the high end with 65 percent market share for the quarter."

IDC expects the overall market for professional graphics cards to increase with a unit compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.5% to 1.9 million units through the year 2006. 3Dlabs is poised to take advantage of this growth in the high-end and ultra-high-end categories with its Wildcat line. 3Dlabs also can expand its share in the mid-range and high-end categories with its recent introduction of the Wildcat VP, the first fully programmable graphics board. In addition, 3Dlabs can retain market share in the low end by continuing to sell its well-known Oxygen(TM) line.

CAD Drives Volume - 3Dlabs Recognized as Performance Leader

According to IDC, "DCC, GIS/geoscience, and engineering will be the fastest-growing segments (in the forecast period), but CAD and financial/commercial segments will be the largest in absolute terms." In a recent review of OpenGL(R) 3D graphics boards on ExtremeTech.com, the Wildcat III won all design-oriented rankings in real-world and application tests using both single and dual monitors, often by significant margins. Tests included traditional SpecViewperf (R)benchmarks as well as SPECapc and AUGI AutoCAD(R) application tests that measure performance in leading CAD programs including AutoCAD, Pro/Engineer(R), SolidEdge and SolidWorks(R).
