The provisional patent application covering Pixel Precision[TM] was filed on January 29, 2007. Sales channels for the product will include software distributors as well as direct sales by 3DIcon.

"We now have a software product that is fully developed and ready for sale this quarter," said Martin Keating, 3DIcon's chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. . "This has come as a byproduct of the 3D research under our sponsored research agreement at the University of Oklahoma University of Oklahoma, abbreviated OU, is a coeducational public research university located in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Founded in 1890, it existed in Oklahoma Territory near Indian Territory 17 years before the two became the state of Oklahoma.  (OU). Pixel Precision[TM] is proof that a portfolio of revenue-generating products and technologies is beginning to flow from our research efforts at OU."

"We believe that sales into the DLP[R] technology application development market will benefit 3DIcon by creating fertile ground for potential strategic partnerships, co-development, or technology sales and transfers to and from other leaders in projection and 3D technologies," added 3DIcon president Vivek Bhaman.

3DIcon's new product is expected to address the needs of a market that includes projection and display manufacturers that design, manufacture, and market products based on DLP[R] technology. In addition to digital TV, DLP[R] technology is also being used in several emerging applications like 3D metrology, confocal microscopy, holographic data storage See holographic storage. , scanning, and other advanced imaging and visualization applications.

DLP[R] is a registered trademark of Texas Instruments (TI). DLP display technology from TI offers clarity down to the most minute detail, delivering pictures rich with color, contrast, and brightness to large-screen HDTVs and projectors for business, home, professional venue, and digital cinema (DLP Cinema[R]). Fifty of the world's top projection and display manufacturers design, manufacture, and market products based on DLP technology. DLP is the only HDTV (High Definition TV) A set of digital television (DTV) standards that offer the highest resolution and sharpest picture. Although some HDTV sets are available in standard (rather square) screen sizes, the overwhelming majority of sets are wide screen, which eliminates  technology built from a foundation in the digital cinema where it set the industry standard demonstrated by the deployment of DLP Cinema technology in 4,500 theaters worldwide. At the heart of every DLP chip is an array of up to 2.2 million microscopic mirrors which switch incredibly fast to create a high resolution, highly reliable, full color image. DLP technology's chip architecture and inherent speed advantage provide razor-sharp images and excellent reproduction of fast motion video. Since early 1996, more than 13 million DLP subsystems have been shipped. For more information, please visit www.dlp.com.

Qualified prospects may register with the company via email at pixelprecision@3dicon.net for a product demonstration starting November 5, 2007.
