3D enthusiasts invited.

All 3D enthusiasts are cordially invited to get together with members of the Victorian 3D Society and the Sydney Stereo Camera Club in Swan Hill, Northern Victoria, from Wednesday April 25th through 28th, 2007 to celebrate the 20th Australian National Stereo Convention.

The Convention Centre will be at the Pioneer Settlement--projection and other activities will take place in Dumosa Hall. The Pioneer Settlement was the first open-air museum in Australia and it houses a collection of more than 20,000 items, which include the Kaiser panorama built around 1910. With seating for 25 people at a time, it is one of very few still operational in the world. Attendees will have full access to all exhibits and facilities of this wonderfully presented setting, including the opportunity to come and go and take 3D photos (or, heaven forbid, 2D) at will.

In addition to the programs there will be a number of activities and excursions to enjoy. Among the places to visit will be Lake Boga, which was once used as a flying boat base. The museum houses an original Catalina flying boat and lots of aviation history. Tyntynder homestead, built in 1846, is set in delightful old-world gardens and houses an unique collection of aboriginal artifacts found on the property. Besides touring the area, and many of its landmarks, attendees can enjoy a Paddle Steamer ride on the Mighty Murray. There will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy local cuisine including fine wines, Murray cod, "yabbies" and local fruit.
