Located next to the 3D Systems' new global headquarters in Rock Hill, S.C., 3D Systems University is the premier training facility for skill development in 3-D Modeling, Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Manufacturing Building parts out of plastic or metal one layer at a time using a method of additive fabrication such as 3D printing. Multiple pieces, either similar or dissimilar, can be built simultaneously. . The 17,000-square-foot training center is operated by York Technical College, in partnership with 3D Systems.

"We are very pleased to offer our advanced users in Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Manufacturing high-quality maintenance training from skilled and certified instructors on our Viper([TM]) and Sinterstation([R]) manufacturing systems," said Abe Reichental, 3D Systems' president and chief executive officer. "The goal of 3D Systems University is accelerated knowledge transfer and customer empowerment.
