3D Systems Opens Interim Facility in Rock Hill.

VALENCIA, Calif. -- 3D Systems Corporation (Nasdaq:TDSC), a leading provider of rapid 3-D printing, prototyping and manufacturing solutions, announced today that it has opened a 12,000 square foot temporary facility in Rock Hill, S.C., to serve as its initial base of operations in Rock Hill.

The company has previously announced its plans to consolidate its corporate headquarters, its principal R&D activities and all other key support functions into a new facility in the Waterford Industrial Park in Rock Hill, which is located 25 miles south of Charlotte, N.C. The company expects to complete its move to this new global headquarters by September 30, 2006.

"We are very pleased to be able to commence certain operations in Rock Hill," said Abe Reichental, 3D Systems' president and chief executive officer. "The opening of this office enables us to immediately begin to transition certain day-to-day activities as well as to use it as a base from which to launch our local recruiting, hiring and training of new employees."

The company plans to begin relocating its sales administration, operating and human resources activities, its technical field support call center and its finance department into this temporary facility within the next few weeks.

"We expect our local presence in Rock Hill to enable us to work closely with our local architects, developers and contractors to ensure that we execute the design and construction of our new facility on time and on budget," continued Reichental. "Our interim office is located near downtown Rock Hill across the street from York Technical College, which provides us with the opportunity to work together with our colleagues at the College to develop the programs and curriculum required to launch our planned state-of-the-art training center, 3D Systems University, for our customers, resellers and employees.
