3D Systems Announces Immediate Availability of a New, High-Resolution Material for the InVision(TM) HR 3-D Printer, the VisiJet(R) HR 200 Material; InVision(TM) HR 3-D Printer Named Journal of Dental Technology's WOW! 2005 Product.

VALENCIA, Calif. -- 3D Systems Corporation (Nasdaq:TDSC), a leading provider of rapid 3-D printing, prototyping and manufacturing solutions, announced today the immediate availability of the new, high-resolution VisiJet(R) HR 200 material for the InVision(TM) HR 3-D Printer.

"Since its mid-2004 introduction, the InVision HR 3-D printer became a popular choice for jewelry manufacturers and dental labs," said Abe Reichental, 3D Systems president and chief executive officer. "Learning from and working with lead users from both segments, we designed a new VisiJet HR 200 material to meet the strict requirements of micro casting users.

"The new VisiJet HR 200 material enables users to produce small, intricate, high-resolution, feature-rich models, patterns and parts on the InVision HR 3-D printer. Custom jewelry manufacturers and dental labs produce small, intricate parts or patterns that are used as master patterns for casting into a precious metal. Jewelers cast the pattern into white gold or silver, while dental technicians cast a coping into gold. Due to the finer surface finish the end user can achieve with the VisiJet HR 200 material, end users can significantly reduce their overall production time. The finer finish produces a higher quality pattern which is then replicated in its final casted part. Once the pattern is cast into metal, the amount of polishing time on the final part is reduced significantly.
