VALENCIA - Local solid imaging firm 3D Systems has resolved two separate lawsuits, one involving a $360,000 settlement with a Japanese technology distributor, the company said Wednesday.

Hitachi Zosen Information Systems sued the Valencia-based laser imaging and modeling company in 2002 for about 535 million yen, or about $4.8 million, in alleged lost sales of a laser sintering Building prototypes and finished parts in a machine from powdered thermoplastics and metals that are cured by heat from a laser.
