Based in Kiev, Volia is the national Ukrainian telecommunication services provider and offers a range of up-to-date telecommunication services to more than two million homes in 19 cities across Ukraine including digital cable TV, high-speed Internet, near-video-on-demand, and voice over IP.

The new network infrastructure from 3Com will support Volia's transition to a more robust infrastructure as Volia enhances its telecom services delivery capacity. As part of its vendor selection process, Volia reviewed competitive offerings from several potential suppliers, choosing 3Com for its ability to deliver the performance and scalability needed to handle bandwidth-hungry applications. After evaluating the features, functionality, service and support levels, and overall cost of comparable network solutions, the Volia IT team not only determined the 3Com solution met its technology needs, but also recognized that it is designed to ultimately result in lower total cost of ownership.

"We are very excited to support Volia in its effort to provide high-quality services to its customers," said 3Com President and Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)
