3Com Park first stadium to feature Internet access; park visitors and cyber-fans can experience the World Wide Web free of charge at Internet Spoken Here browsing stations.

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 1995-- Demonstrating its commitment to the community, and fulfilling its pledge to make 3Com Park a technologically state-of-the-art facility, 3Com Corp. (NASDAQ:COMS) today launched Internet Spoken Here Web browsing stations, available free to all Park visitors.

For the first time at any stadium worldwide, fans have the opportunity to experience information available on the World Wide Web (WWW), the fastest-growing segment of the Internet, used by more than 30 million people.

3Com Park visitors and cyber-fans will be interested in visiting the home pages of their favorite Bay Area teams: the San Francisco Forty-Niners and Giants, San Jose Sharks, Golden State Warriors, or the 3Com Park site. Via touch screen technology, Park visitors can also tour the globe, exploring local attractions such as the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Exploratorium, national treasures like the White House, or international sites including the Louvre art museum in Paris.

The eight Web browsing stations will be in two locations in 3Com Park: Upper Deck, Section 19-21, adjacent to room 502, and at the Gate F plaza area. Both sites are wheelchair accessible and will be staffed by 3Com representatives during all major events at 3Com Park.
