3Com Corporation (Nasdaq: COMS) today announced its sponsorship of charities that are being honored at the Hollywood premiere of the movie "The Core" from Paramount Pictures. As a worldwide networking leader, which provided the next-generation 3Com(R) NBX(R) telephones for the Mission Control Center in the movie "The Core," 3Com supports the efforts of the actor/chairperson Delroy Lindo, other Hollywood supporters and charitable organizations to promote awareness of diversity in career development and educational achievements.

The three named beneficiary organizations from this star-studded Hollywood event are the following: The African-American Male Achievers Network, The Algebra Project, and Brothers Building Diversity in the Sciences. All three organizations aim to encourage minority students to pursue educational and professional advancements in a variety of disciplines.
