SHE'S known for her vanity, hedonism hedonism (hē`dənĭz'əm) [Gr.,=pleasure], the doctrine that holds that pleasure is the highest good. Ancient hedonism expressed itself in two ways: the cruder form was that proposed by Aristippus and the early Cyrenaics, who believed  and drunken abandon, so it's not surprising 1920s Flapper style suits Paris Hilton so well.

The 26-year-old socialite scrubbed up rather well in a gold headscarf, black and gold tunic and smooth bobbed hair for - yet another - Hollywood party.

But the look was worn far better by our very own Anna Friel.

The Brookie-babe-turned-serious actress, 31, sported a cute dark bob and blood-red lippy for the Baftas tea party in Beverly Hills last weekend.

And she looked every inch the starlet star·let
