36th Annual Boston Globe Book Festival to Take Place October 1 Through 30.

Author Series, Panel Presentations And Children's Book Fair At Various Locations In And Around Greater Boston Greater Boston is the area of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts surrounding the city of Boston, Massachusetts. While Metro Boston tends to be the "Inner Core" surrounding the City of Boston, Greater Boston overlaps the North and South Shores, as well as the MetroWest region.

The 36th Annual Boston Globe Book Festival - one of the nation's longest running book festivals - takes place throughout the month of October with an all-star line up of best-selling authors, editors, and other industry leaders. Nationally acclaimed authors Mitchell Zuckoff & Dick Lehr ("Judgment Ridge: The True Story Behind The Dartmouth Murders The Dartmouth Murders were the double homicide of married victims Half Zantop (born April 24, 1938) and Susanne Zantop (born Susanne Korsukwitz on August 12, 1945), Dartmouth College professors originally from Germany, who were killed at their home in Etna, New Hampshire on January ,") discuss their recent book on October 1st at the Boston Public Library's (BPL See broadband over power lines. ) main branch in Back Bay, Boston.

Other highlights of this year's festival include "The Children's Book Fair" on October 4th, the "Panel on Publishing" on October 5th, "Scriptwriting: Perils & Pleasures"on October 15th, a presentation by this year's Gold Medal gold medal

 ("Love") holds a reading on October 29th, and author Nikki Giovanni Yolande Cornelia "Nikki" Giovanni (born June 7, 1943 in Knoxville, Tennessee) is a Grammy-nominated American poet, activist and author. Giovanni is currently a Distinguished Professor of English at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.  ("Quilting quilting, form of needlework, almost always created by women, most of them anonymous, in which two layers of fabric on either side of an interlining (batting) are sewn together, usually with a pattern of back or running (quilting) stitches that hold the layers  The Black-Eyed Pea") speaks on Thursday, October 30.

The Children's Book Fair takes place on October 4th from 10AM - 2PM at Bright Horizons on the Charles in Watertown, MA. A total of 14 authors will be present with featured names like Barbara McGrath ("The Baseball Counting Book"), Judy Love ("First Year Letters"), Irene Smalls ("Don't Say Ain't"), Matt Tavares ("Twas The Night Before Christmas n. 1. The October 5th "Panel On Publishing" is a forum for writers, featuring Editor Frank Bidart Frank Bidart (b. 1939 in Bakersfield, California) is an American academic and award-winning poet.

In 1957, he began to study at the University of California at Riverside and went on to Harvard, where he was a student and friend of Robert Lowell and Elizabeth Bishop.

Alice Quinn, the Director of "Poetry Society of America The Poetry Society of America is a literary organization founded in 1910 by poets including Witter Bynner. Past members of the Society have included such renowned writers as Robert Frost, Langston Hughes, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Marianne Moore, and Wallace Stevens. " will speak on "Fiction, Poetry at the New Yorker." Literary Agent Helen Rees will discuss "Do You Need an Agent? How to Get One," and Tony Rose, publisher of Amber Books will facilitate a discussion on "How to Start a Boutique Press." The Book Festival's readings and signings continue on October 7th with Gail Collins ("America's Women"), followed by Sena Jeter Naslund ("Four Spirits") on October 8th, and concluding with James Caroll ("Secret Father") on October 9th. All of these events will take place at the Rabb Lecture Hall at the BPL from 6-8 PM.

Also taking place is a panel discussion on "Scriptwriting: Perils and Pleasures" at The Charles Hotel in Cambridge, MA on October 15th from 6-8 PM. Featured are the Mailer Family: Norman, Norris, Michael, Matthew and John ("Tough Guys Don't Dance Tough Guys Don't Dance may refer to:

On Thursday, October 16th, author Patricia Cornwell Patricia Cornwell (born Patricia Carroll Daniels on June 9, 1956) is a contemporary American author. She is widely known for writing a popular series of crime novels featuring the fictional heroine Dr. Kay Scarpetta, a medical examiner.  ("Blow Fly") will be featured in the Great Hall at Historic Faneuil Hall Faneuil Hall (făn`əl, făn`yəl), public market and hall in Boston, Mass. The Boston Globe's Pulitzer Prize-winning Spotlight Team will present "Betrayal: The Crisis in the Catholic Church" at the Old South Meeting House, Boston on October 25th from 12-1:30 PM.
