34th Street Old Navy flagship for sale through Eastern Consolidated.


In an offering that promises to generate intense interest due to its prominent location directly opposite Macy's Macy's
 formerly R.H. Macy & Co., Inc.

Major U.S. department-store chain. Its former flagship, an 11-story store that occupies a city block in New York City's Herald Square, was for many years the largest single store in the country. Rowland H.
 Department Store on West 34th Street, the 19,992 s/f block-through lot now occupied by Gap, Inc.'s three-story Old Navy flagship store, is on the market for sale through Eastern Consolidated.

    "At a time when prime development sites in Manhattan are harder and harder to find, this site, on one of the world's premier retail corridors across from Penn Station and the legendary Macy's, is just about as good as it gets," said Anton.

    "Vornado is launching the 2.5 million-square-foot redevelopment of Hotel Pennsylvania Coordinates:  The Hotel Pennsylvania is a hotel located at 401 7th Avenue in Manhattan, across the street from Pennsylvania Station and Madison Square Garden in New York City. ," said Solarz, "and at least ten million square feet of new office and residential construction are on the drawing board for the immediate vicinity, factors that will greatly enhance the value of the property's frontage on both W. 33rd Street (125 feet) and West 34th (75 feet)."

    The Gap's lease runs through the first quarter of 2019. The new owner would have to accommodate Gap should he wish to alter the site in any way.
