33rd Nashville Independent Film Festival Hosts `Colored Eggs' World Premiere, John Waters; Line-Up Includes Cine Latino, Kids Fest.

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--May 7, 2002

The Nashville Independent Film Festival, presented by Regal Cinemas, will have its most ambitious line-up in the organization's 33-year history. The 2002 Festival takes place June 5-9, 2002 at the Regal Green Hills 16 Cinemas and includes 200 feature length, documentary, short, animated, experimental, foreign language, and classic retrospective films. Formed in 1969, the Nashville Independent Film Festival is one of the country's oldest film festivals. Each June, the weeklong celebration is highlighted by competitions, screenings, film premieres, panel discussions, special presentations, and guest appearances by nationally- recognized film/video makers, such as Robert Redford, James Cromwell, Olympia Dukakis, and DA Pennebaker.
