31 new homes plan set for go-ahead.

PLANNERS in Liverpool are due to give the goahead for a new housing development in Kensington.

Liverpool council's planning committee planning committee n (in local government) → comité m de planificación  will consider proposals for 31 new homes, which will be a mixture of two-storey houses and twostorey self-contained flats, together with bungalows and bungalows specifically designed for the disabled at a meeting on Tuesday.

The development, by CDS Housing, is earmarked for land in Sheil Park.

Meanwhile planners are likely to turn down proposals by Ocean Developments for 16 new houses in Laburnum laburnum (ləbûr`nəm) or golden chain, small tree (Laburnum anagyroides) of the family Leguminosae (pulse family) with decorative dark green leaves and sprays of bright yellow flowers.  Road, Kensington, on the grounds that it would lead to over-development and would be out of character.
