30 years to repay pounds 18k.


A BENEFITS cheat was given 30 years to pay back pounds 18,000 that he had fiddled in six years.

Graham Davies, 58, was on housing benefits and failed to declare a woman had moved in.

He was allowed to pay the money back at pounds 11.60 a week.

Davies, of Blaenavon, Gwent Gwent (gwĕnt), former county, SE Wales. Created in the 1974 administrative reorganization of Wales from most of Monmouthshire and part of Breconshire, it was dissolved in 1996 and divided among the unitary authorities of Monmouthshire, Blaenau , pled guilty before magistrates in Torfaen and got 220 hours of community service.
