30 years of continuous, low-cost gold production, and 27 years of cash dividends to its shareholders, has made Agnico-Eagle a favourite among gold investors: Mexico to play a part in the Agnico-Eagle plan to build an international multi-mine platform.

Agnico-Eagle is an international growth company focused on gold, with operations in Canada and advanced-stage projects and opportunities in Canada, Mexico, Finland and the U.S.A. The company's LaRonde mine in Quebec is Canada's largest gold deposit in reserve terms. The mine generates strong earnings and cash flows, and is an excellent foundation for Agnico-Eagle's international expansion.

The company's operating history includes more than 30 years of continuous gold production primarily from underground operations. Since its amalgamation in 1972, Agnico-Eagle has produced over 4.0 million ounces of gold. The company is one of the lowest total cash cost producers in the gold mining industry.

Agnico-Eagle has traditionally sold all of its production at the spot price of gold, in keeping with a policy of not selling forward future gold production. This policy enables shareholders to participate fully in rising precious metal prices.

The company's strategy is to build a multi-mine platform internationally, growing from its strong foundation in the Abitibi region of Quebec. Its large property positions, in regions with supportive governments and low political risk, provide Agnico-Eagle with reserves of 10.4 million ounces as of December 31, 2005. The expansion-minded company is targeting 14 million to 15 million ounces of gold reserves by 2008.

Agnico-Eagle is currently constructing the Goldex mine near LaRonde, Quebec. Gold production is expected in 2008. In addition, it is well underway with shaft sinking and underground development at the nearby Lapa deposit with gold production also expected in 2008. In Finland, construction of the Kittila gold mine commenced in the summer of 2006, with initial production expected by the middle of 2008.

Beyond Canada and Finland, the company has advanced-stage projects and opportunities in Mexico and the United States Relations between the United States and Mexico are among the most important and complex that each nation maintains. They are shaped by a mixture of mutual interests, shared problems, and growing interdependence. .

Agnico-Eagle is proud to have paid a cash dividend to its shareholders for 27 years.
