30,000 set to cross the Mersey.


TWO of the region's best attractions are gearing up for their busiest weekend of the year.

The Mersey Ferries and the new pounds 10m Spaceport space·port

An installation for sheltering, testing, maintaining, and launching spacecraft.
 at Seacombe will welcome thousands of visitors from all over the world.

Up to 30,000 passengers are expected to travel by ferry over the three days of the bank holiday weekend.

The Mersey Ferries will be in action as Liverpool Pier Head The Pier Head is a riverside location in the city-centre of Liverpool, England.

Landing stages
The Pier Head is the historic location of Liverpool's landing stages and a trio of landmarks, which around 2001/02 were dubbed the 'Three Graces': Royal Liver Building,
 and Birkenhead Woodside ferry terminals host special stages for the Mathew Street Mathew Street is a famous street in Liverpool, England, probably most well-known for being the location of the Cavern Club, where The Beatles played many concerts early in their career. Mathew Street is located in an area of Liverpool city centre known today as "The Cavern Quarter".  Festival.

Festivalgoers will also be joined by visitors from the giant Dutch cruise ship Prinsendam, an 800passenger super cruiser.

The Royal Iris will provide the normal bank holiday 50-minute family River Explorer cruise service
