3-in-1 Super Event Sates Your Needs! 2008 FOOD TAIPEI, FOODTECH TAIPEI & TAIPEI PACK Shows.

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the 2008 Taipei Int'l Food Show, Taipei Int'l Food Machinery and Technology Show, and Taipei Int'l Packaging Industry Show will be opened simultaneously from June 18 to 21 at TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall. A combined total of 1,077 companies will be hosting 2,531 booths at the three shows this year. Last year's Taste of Taiwan Cuisine, held side-by-side with the FOOD TAIPEI, received heated responses; therefore, TAITRA decided to again stage the Taste of Taiwan Cuisine so visitors coming to the June events, COMPUTEX TAIPEI, Display Taiwan, FOOD TAIPEI, FOODTECH TAIPEI, and TAIPEI PACK, have the chance to taste the real flavors of Taiwan and the world.

The eighteen-year-old FOOD TAIPEI (Taipei Int'l Food Show) has become the biggest event in Asia food industry. Every year its scale sets a new record and this year is no exception. In 2008, a total of 768 companies will be hosting 1,609 booths, which registers an impressive 25% of growth in the number of exhibitors. The U.S.A, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Austria, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Chile, Malaysia, Spain, Fiji, Poland, and six countries from Africa are among the 27 countries represented by National Pavilions at FOOD TAIPEI 2008. In addition, Taiwan's trade partners from Latin America, including Panama, Guatemala, and Nicaragua will jointly set up the FTA Pavilion, showcasing local specialties including coffee, seafood, sauces, juices, and meat products. These businesses will come to the frontier, meeting face-to-face with importers from Taiwan and the world.

A total of 137 companies have already signed up for 393 booths, registering 8.7% and 7.7% growth respectively. This area is divided into three zones - Packaging Machinery, Packaging Materials, and Trade Media, and is expected to showcase a wide range of products including packaging machinery and materials, paper containers, wrapping plant facilities, auto filling, sealing & weighing machines, printing machines, tapes, films & boards, warehouse facilities, food & drug packaging machines, bag-making machines, material control facilities, vacuum packaging machines, conveyor belts, and stretch film packaging machines. Many multinational manufacturers endorse this concept by joining the exhibition. This year, based on last year's success, TAITRA again invites 25 hotels and 80 well-known restaurants, including Dan Ryan's Chicago Grill American Restaurant, Din Tai Fung, Capone's Italian Restaurant, Gasthaus Zum Adler, and Tung Chinese Cuisine, to host a series of food festivals catering to the 40 thousand visitors who come to Taipei for expos in June.
