Techniques You Can Use On Monday

Techniques used for over 23 years in a hospital and personal counseling setting covering such subjects as pain management, stress management, stop smoking fears and phobias, and others as time permits. Successful releasing techniques to include "Hand to Face for Therapy", "Heavy Backpack", "Institute of Universal Knowledge" with a regression and progression exercise. You will be able use the techniques covered on Monday when you go back to work in your hypnotherapy practice. Class will include demonstrations.

Chaplain Paul G. Durbin, PhD is a United Methodist Minister retired in 2005 as the Dir. of Clinical Hypnotherapy for Methodist Health System Foundation, affiliated with Methodist Hospital in New Orleans, LA. He was on staff at MH since 1976. He was the first hospital Director of Clinical Hypnotherapy in the USA. Brigadier Gen. Durbin is a retired Military Chaplain who last served as Army Nat'l Guard Special Asst. to the Chief of Chaplains. President Durbin is an IMDHA Diplomat and certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. He has received many awards for his contributions to the field of hypnotherapy and was inducted into the International Hypnosis Hall of Fame (1992). He has over 100 articles on hypnosis and related topics published in religious and hypnosis journals and conducts seminars throughout the USA. He has written three books, Human Trinity Hypnotherapy, Kissing Frogs: Practical Uses of Hypnotherapy, and his newest book, Hypnotherapy for Body, Mind and Spirit.

She will give you tips on out-of-town groups, ways to target small businesses and large corporations, and reasons to offer group sessions as a public service. Pointers are included for advertising, retail sales, and referrals.

Anne King, IMDHA Diplomat is a professional hypnotist and hypnosis instructor, began a successful full-time practice in 1986 and has since owned and operated businesses in three Texas cities. In addition to seeing clients, she teaches Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Hypnosis for Certification as well as CEU classes for practicing hypnotherapists. Anne is an Approved IMDHA School Owner. She facilitates numerous workshops and classes at her school, bringing in a variety of top-name instructors. Most of the CEU classes are also offered as Video Workshops. Life Coaching / Adjunct to Hypnotherapy

There is an old saying "only a fool falls over an obstacle behind him."

Is this true? The life coach will acknowledge this and proceed to coach the client by setting goals and using self-hypnosis techniques to achieve them. The Hypnotherapist may suggest that where there are self destructive "seed" events, they will undermine the work of the life coaching. Analytical Techniques & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy 

Enhance your practice by improving your analytical and cognitive behavioral therapy skill mix, building rapport and reducing patient resistance. Methods that are known to work well, both for client and therapist. When something does not work, do something different.

This three hour presentation will provide you with many different techniques, including use of 'free association,' and in some cases 'pinpoint analysis,' enabling the client to find the originating psychological causes, and resolve them. In addition, utilizing clinical hypnosis for breaking up habits, providing cognitive behavioural and interpersonal skill therapy, which facilitates superior coping skills and mechanisms for the future. Conditions include hopelessness and despair, panic attacks, anxiety states, IBS, insomnia, fears, OCD, trichotillomania, bulimia, single session phobia, and psychosomatic disorders. Techniques used from the initial consultation to the end of therapy, including the use of cassette tapes / CD's and subliminals are all specified. These techniques are successfully used at the Bristol Hypnotherapy Clinic in the UK, and taught by David Kato PhD to UK hypnotherapists and clinicians. Approx, 70% projector, 10% history of clients and examples of therapeutic modality, 10% question time. Workshop will include a comprehensive interactive CD on these highly informative techniques, that will increase your skill mix.

David Kato PhD has worked in the medical and health care profession since 1972, and has worked in cardiac intensive care units for 22 years, also being a lecturer in advanced resuscitation and intensive care medicine. David is a clinical hypnotherapist and psychoanalyst at the Bristol Hypnotherapy Clinic and at Harley Street, London in the UK. Harley Street is known worldwide as a centre of medical excellence. David specialises in clinical depression, major depressive illness, ante and post natal depression. He also consults those with panic attacks, phobias, IBS, insomnia, OCD, trichotillomania, bulimia, primary tokophobia, childbirth and psychological disorders pre and post partum.
