He said that special focus would also be on the high risk districts of the province including Quetta, Killa Abdullah, Pishin, Jaffarabad, Lasbela and other areas. He noted with contentment that no new polio polio: see poliomyelitis. case has been reported from any part of the province as he mentioned that two cases had so far been reported from the province during the current year. While on the other hand, the Chief Secretary while chairing a meeting in this regard had directed to all concerned that all preparations be completed before start of the campaign and all available resources be mobilized to make it a great success. He on the occasion also urged the parents, ulemas, teachers and all other segments of the society to play their effective role in eradication of polio from the province. The Chief Secretary said that we don't want that any child is suffered from the disease due to negligence of any one in the health or other personnel engaged in the task. He also directed to all the divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners to effectively play their role during the campaign like the past. He was satisfied over the role being played by the civil society in the anti-polio initiatives. |
