Designated the T case, TCJ Series, these low profile tantalum capacitors use patented technology to offer lower ESR, safer non-ignition failure mode and better capacitance retention as compared to other polymer devices and conventional MnO2 electrode capacitors, all in a low-profile size (1.2mm height) that makes them ideal for use in portable and handheld devices such as cellular phones, PDAs and digital cameras.

"Existing competitor parts have been unable to reach the industry "lead-free" reflow solder specifications of 3 x 260(degree)C," said Danny Lane, AVX product manager. AVX Heats Up Tantalum Polymer with Low-Profile Offering

The TCJ Series is suitable for power management systems with operating temperatures up to 125(degree)C. The parts offer a capacitance range of 10(mu)F to 100(mu)F.
