3 dead in New Jersey home fire

Fire tore through a home in this northern New Jersey town early Sunday, killing three people inside, police said.

Half of the two-story house was charred by the blaze, which was believed to have started accidentally in a recreation room.

The victims were Roman Lipinski, 53, and Alfred Soos, 59. A woman found the home had not been identified, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce Kaplan.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.

Neighbor John Beluch said the two men rented the house and that a woman stayed their regularly. One of the men had recently become engaged, he said.
