3 arrested in Vegas bus stop shooting

Three more people have been arrested in connection with a shooting at a school bus stop that wounded six people, police said.

Authorities said 18-year-old Dresden Williams, 20-year-old Erica Adams and a 17-year-old male were arrested Sunday night in Las Vegas and booked on charges related to the Dec. 11 shooting.

A fourth person was arrested in Denver last week after getting off a Greyhound bus on his way to Chicago, police said. Nicco Tatum, 18, remained at the Denver County jail Wednesday, pending transfer to Nevada. The jail said it had no information about a lawyer.

Authorities say a school bus had just unloaded high school students on a Las Vegas street corner when shots were fired. Two teenagers hit in the torso were hospitalized, and four others suffered minor injuries.

The shooting stemmed from a scuffle at the bus stop a day earlier involving one of the shooting victims and Tatum, according to arrest reports.

Police said Tatum told them that Williams and the 17-year-old arrested were the only shooters.

Williams was booked on charges including six counts each of attempted murder and battery with a deadly weapon. The 17-year-old was being held as a juvenile on similar charges, police said.

Adams was charged with accessory to commit murder and harboring a fugitive, police said. She and Williams also were charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and cocaine trafficking, stemming from the discovery of drugs and a stolen car at an apartment where they were staying, according to arrest reports.

Williams did not have an attorney on file, the public defender's office said Tuesday. Attorney James Ruggeroli, who represents Adams on another case, said he had no comment on the charges.

Meanwhile, a 17-year-old shooting victim whose name was not made public was released Tuesday night from the University Medical Center in Las Vegas, a hospital spokeswoman said. His release came a day after the release of Alejandro Rios, 18, the other shooting victim who had been hospitalized.
