3 WOMEN INJURED IN NEWHALL CAR CRASH; AUTO HITS TRUCK, SKIDS DOWN EMBANKMENT.

Three elderly Valencia women were critically injured Wednesday afternoon in Newhall when the car they were in plunged down a 75-foot embankment into a mobile-home park, officials said.

Witnesses said the women's car rear-ended a red pickup truck about 4 p.m. while heading south on Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. Brenda Clark, 19, of Newhall, was driving the truck. She said she was traveling about 50 mph when she was hit, looked back and saw a brown sedan plunge off the road.

Cisneros, who had just passed the area, said other motorists sounded their horns to alert him.

The women were identified as Kathryn Cogdill, 84, Dorothy Monjoy, 75, and Ann Marie Savino, 85.
