3 RED LINE STATIONS TO OPEN IN JULY.

The Metro Red Line subway will add 2.1 miles and three stations beginning July 13, when the first portion of Red Line Segment 2 opens along Wilshire Boulevard Wilshire Boulevard is one of the principal east-west arterial roads in Los Angeles, California, United States. It was named for H. A four-mile section of the Red Line between Union Station and MacArthur Park has been running since 1993.

The rest of Segment 2, in a nearly five-mile section that runs north along Vermont Avenue Vermont Avenue is one of the longest running north/south streets in Los Angeles. MTA officials are also considering raising fares on the Red Line, which have been 25 cents, to $1.35 once the new section is opened.
