3 ORDERED TO TRIAL IN FEED STORE HOLDUP.

LANCASTER - Three Lancaster men suspected of robbing a feed store and shooting at one of the owners were ordered Wednesday to stand trial on charges of attempted murder and robbery.

Laronnie Hickman, 22, Bobby Simpson, 22, and Dionshea Johnson, 23, are charged in the Oct. 17 holdup that was followed by a car and foot pursuit through a Lancaster neighborhood.

Sheriff's detectives said store owner Armitta Granicy was shot at by one of the robbers when she came out of the Granicy Valley Wide Feed Store after the robbery occurred, but was not hit. Hickman was the gunman, deputies said.

The three men were ordered to stand trial after a two-day preliminary hearing that concluded Wednesday. The three have pleaded not guilty and were each being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

The three defendants were arrested after they led deputies on a brief chase, then jumped out of their car and ran into the neighborhood near 17th Street East and Lancaster Boulevard.

Simpson was arrested after coming out of a house, and the other two were taken into custody about two hours later when they were found hiding in two garbage cans at another house, deputies said.
