3 MEN HELD ON SUSPICION OF HATE CRIMES, ASSAULT.Byline: Stacy Brown Daily News Staff Writer Sheriff's deputies in Canyon Country arrested three men Saturday after they allegedly threw chunks of asphalt at passing cars on the Antelope Valley Freeway The Antelope Valley Freeway is a freeway in Los Angeles and Kern counties in southern California. It is signed as California State Highway 14 along its length. It connects Greater Los Angeles to the rapidly developing Antelope Valley. and yelled racial slurs at a Latino couple. Scott Britschgi, 21, Jason Georgelos, 18, and Jason Williamson, 23, were arrested at 6:30 a.m. after deputies found the men hurling hurling, outdoor ball and stick game similar to field hockey (see hockey, field). The men were arrested on suspicion of felony hate crimes, assault with a deadly weapon Assault with a Deadly Weapon is the term used to describe the act of threatening to harm one or more people by using a weapon (usually a firearm). Here, assault must be differentiated from battery as they are often confused. Assault is threatening to use force. and throwing objects at vehicles with intent to cause injury. Each is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail and sheriff's officials are asking witnesses or anyone who may have been victimized on the bike trail or had their vehicle damaged to contact the station at (805) 255-1121. |
