3 LOCAL SCOUTS TO BECOME EAGLES.

Three members of Boy Scout Troop 496 were to be recognized as Eagle Scouts at a Court of Honor a court or tribunal to investigate and decide questions relating to points of honor; as a court of chivalry, or a military court to investigate acts or omissions which are unofficerlike or ungentlemanly in their nature.

Frank Lionetti, Brandon Olson and Trent ``T.J.'' Schramm have reached the rank of Eagle, the highest rank a Boy Scout can earn from the Boy Scouts of America Noun 1. Boy Scouts of America - a corporation that operates through a national council that charters local councils all over the United States; the purpose is character building and citizenship training .

Only 4 percent of all Scouts earn the rank of Eagle.

Lionetti, 15, is a freshman at Hart High School Hart High School may refer to:
  • Hart High School — Newhall, California
  • Hart High School — Hart, Michigan
  • Hart County High School — Munfordville, Kentucky
  • Hart County High School — Hartwell, Georgia
 where he is on the football and volleyball teams. He has earned a total of 24 merit badges over the years, and for his Eagle project Frank organized a local blood drive to help with the blood shortage.

Olson, 15, also is a freshman at Hart and was a starting linebacker for the freshman football team and a starting forward on the basketball team. He has earned a total of 21 merit badges, and for his Eagle project, Brandon collected children's books for an organization that send them to developing countries.

Schramm, 13, is an eighth-grader at Placerita Junior High, where he performs with the Advanced Band, the Honor Band and the Jazz Band. He has earned a total of 27 merit badges, and for his Eagle project he collected more than 1,900 canned goods for the Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672.  Food Pantry.

All of these projects required the Scouts to show leadership and required getting other people involved to complete more than 100 hours of service.

``These three Scouts have lived by the Scout law Since the publication of Scouting for Boys in 1908, all Scouts and Guides around the world have taken a Scout Promise or oath to live up to ideals of the movement, and subscribed to a Scout Law.  and have served their community,'' said Scoutmaster Phil Schramm. ``They have worked hard over the years to obtain this honor.''
