Renaissance ClubSport will host a 3-hour "mass" indoor cycling Indoor cycling is a form of high-intensity exercise that involves using a stationary exercise bicycle in a classroom setting. This 3 hour event will bring together 100 fitness and cycling enthusiasts in the first "mass" Spinning event of it's kind in the San Francisco Bay Area “Bay Area” redirects here. For other uses, see Bay Area (disambiguation).

The San Francisco Bay Area, colloquially known as the Bay Area or The Bay
 and promises to deliver a fantastic and unique experience to all that participate. In addition to a great spinning work out, each participant will receive an event T-shirt, sponsor thank-you gift and a ticket to the post-event party at the Renaissance ClubSport hotel and fitness resort.

Arete Racing Team has developed several events to help raise funds and awareness for LAF, and the second event to be sponsored by Renaissance ClubSport, additional sponsors include: CLIF Bar, Sports Basement, Cytosport, Rudy Project, Star Trac and Computrainer. This event is a prelude to Arete Racing team's Race Across America The Race Across America, or RAAM, is an ultra marathon bicycle race across the USA that started in 1982 as the Great American Bike Race. RAAM is arguably the best-known and longest annual endurance cycling event in the world. ; a non-stop "ultra" bike race that will cover nearly 3,000 miles in only 6 days. Teams will race through 15 states from San Diego, CA, to Atlantic City, NJ, in June 2003 to raise awareness and funds for The Lance Armstrong Foundation.

The Lance Armstrong Challenge Spinning event is open to the public. Participants can register at Renaissance ClubSport, 2805 Jones Road, Walnut Creek, CA 94597 (925/938-8700) or by visiting www.lachallenge.com. Individual entry is $100 and Team entry is $150 (up to 3 people). All proceeds will go to LAF.

This is one of many charitable causes that ClubSport has supported since the company's inception in 1978. All ClubSport properties work with many local charities to benefit schools, children's charities and the less fortunate in California, Oregon and Nevada.
