3 HELD IN BOY'S SHOOTING : POLICE ACT ON TIP TO COUNCILMAN.

Three people were being held for investigation in the shooting attack that nearly killed a 12-year-old altar boy who was on his way home from a Dodgers baseball game Noun 1. baseball game - a ball game played with a bat and ball between two teams of nine players; teams take turns at bat trying to score runs; "he played baseball in high school"; "there was a baseball game on every empty lot"; "there was a desire for National League  last year, police said Friday.

``He prays every night for these individuals,'' said his mother, Ramona Bautista.

``As a result of those warrants, they seized some weapons,'' Kroeker said. ``We hope that one of the weapons was involved in the shooting.''

Burgos is suspected of being the shooter in the attack, which Kroeker said was ``spawned out of a gang culture.''

Moriel said Burgos didn't make any expression of remorse after his surrender to authorities.

Bautista went home from the hospital in February. The youngster has no movement in his hands or feet. Doctors said recovery will be slow. Surgeons removed the bullet from Bautista's brain and his parents were told there was little chance he would survive.
