3 HELD FOR TRIAL IN GANG SLAYING.

``It appears to be gang-related,'' Deputy District Attorney Benny Osorio said.

The three defendants have pleaded not guilty to one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder. Each is being held in lieu of $8 million bail.

The defendants were bound over for trial after a preliminary hearing that began in August but only concluded Wednesday because of scheduling difficulties.

Stewart and the three other victims were standing outside a party just before midnight in the 38800 block of Juniper Tree Road. The bullets were fired from a passing car. Stewart was hit in the head, authorities said.
